Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team. The Inventory Control Supervisor will oversee and execute all inventory control methods including process improvement, planning, logistics and ensure materials are available when needed for production and repair of machines. Additionally, this role is responsible for the hiring, training, and coaching of warehouse staff.

Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of materials/inventory management and related experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience and knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, SAGE is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical inventories/research inventory variances to maintain MRP in SAGE system.
  • Ensure accurate inventory at all times.
  • Maintain item master, stock control and SAGE master files.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Track all inventory arriving, departing the warehouse and dates of delivery for all orders.
  • Create and process all work orders in MRP system.
  • Perform and document inventory control operations in accordance with guidelines established through department policies and procedures.
  • Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
  • Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Perform reconciliation of inventory to help with month-end closing.
  • Review and monitor inventory for proper rotation and accurate stock dating.
  • Implement and direct employees on cycle counting, auditing, researching, data entry, customer returns, shortages, and inventory adjustments.
  • Train, motivate, evaluate, and manage staff to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
  • Supply production department with work orders.
  • Review weekly MRP reports to order appropriate materials based on production schedule.
  • Maintain inventories to support production schedules within established guidelines including safety stock.
  • Domestic and International shipping via small parcel and LTL carriers.
  • Maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Assist Controller and SAGE consultants with upgrade to SAGE for Production Management as needed.
