Job Description:
  • The Rappahannock Rapidan Health District is searching for a reliable, well-organized administrative assistant to handle administrative tasks associated with our vaccination efforts to include COVID-19, family planning clinics, vital records and environmental health office.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Independently performs a variety of program support duties including interpreting administrative policies/procedures and effectively communicating these to the public.
  • Schedules appointments, interviews clients obtaining required program information; maintains records, provides education on program guidelines and developed protocols.
  • Performs data entry; records management activities; applies guidelines to answer citizen inquiries; accepts applications; conducts eligibility's and compiles data and conducts research.
  • Performs fiscal duties: collecting and entering payments, reconciling cash and receipts and preparing deposits.
Required Qualification:
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English); Must possess a valid Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout the Rappahannock Health District (Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties) with personal transportation.
  • Knowledge of general office practices.
  • Ability to problem solve; establish priorities and work independently using sound judgment; learn new procedures, interpret rules and regulations and to educate others about available services; work in a high-traffic, fast-paced setting with accuracy and speed; communicate and work with diverse populations both orally and in writing; to be fit-tested and wear and N95 mask; operate a computer with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record
