We are currently looking for individuals with large project experience in the construction of manufacturing facilities. This is a traveling role - some projects are 6 months, and others are 3 years. We typically send the team home every two weeks. If comfortable with travel, we encourage you to apply.

As our new Construction Project Manager, you will be part of our Advanced Manufacturing Project Management team working on projects throughout the United States. We have several ongoing projects in the Midwest region (Iowa, Texas, KY and elsewhere), but you may be asked to work on specific projects throughout the US. Home location can be flexible but must have ability to travel to job sites with the region. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging projects for industrial, financial sector, commercial, and global clients. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and oversees subcontractors, superintendents, supervisors, administrators on project related activities.
  • Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) at start of project to review job specific issues (schedules, health & safety issues, subcontractor coordination, etc.). Assign roles and responsibilities for field activities in accordance with the company practices.
  • Actively works with the EPC Project Manager in the management of the overall project construction scope schedule and budget
  • Responsible for leadership of the on-site project team management
  • Responsible for overall subcontractor contract management in coordination with the EPC Project Manager
  • Leads team with the change orders process including proper notification, supporting data gathering/organization development for Project Manager review and processing.
  • Participates actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
  • May serve as Project Site Safety Leader (in absence of full time EHS Supervisor).
  • Collaborates with EPC Project Manager in the development and modification to the Project Execution Plan (PEP). Provide updates to the Project Manager in accordance with the PEP as it relates to cost, schedule, and client management.
  • Estimates cost of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to successfully manage change during a project.
  • As a primary interface with clients during a project, obtains client feedback and maintains client relationships.
  • Manages the execution of the commissioning and closeout processes.
  • Adheres to the policies and standards set forth in our quality management practices.
Qualifications

About You

  • At least a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5-10 years' experience in a construction related field managing industrial construction projects.
  • Ability to read plans/drawings/specifications and interpret data.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Project Scheduling and Job Costing.
  • Construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations, safety planning, means and methods.
  • Travel required (75-100%)
  • The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals. Employees may be required to take specific training and to wear PPE on some occasions.

  • Position location is flexible given the diverse EPC project locations within the US and the need for regular travel - East Coast or Midwest is preferred.
