Job Description

  • Work a day shift --no nights. You'll work from 8 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
  • Work in anattractive facilityin abeautiful, serene settingideal for healing. You'll earn full benefits and hourly pay beginning at$20 to $23 perhour, depending on your experience,
The Job Reporting to, working with and supporting the Executive Chef, you will help prepare the lunch and dinner meals to be presented to the clients and staff daily. Each meal should be a complete course, including a protein, vegetable, salad, carbohydrate, and a dessert.

You'll invest most of your time in prep work. Tuesday through Friday, you'll focus on prep work, always staying a day ahead. On your weekend day, you may run the kitchen by yourself, including picking your menu. The Meadowglade has a home-style kitchen. Your QualificationsTo be a good fit for the Sous Chef opportunity, you will have:
  • 3 years' experience cooking in a family style, catering, group home or treatment center environment
  • Experience cooking for 15-20 or more persons per meal
  • Current ServSafe permit
  • Experience in menu development is strongly preferred
  • This position requires a valid California driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards.
