Overview

This position is primarily responsible for the integration, calibration, and testing of White Light Interferometry (WLI) advanced optical profiler systems with an integrated wafer handler including accessories and upgrades. The secondary role in this position requires the individual to perform the integration, calibration, and testing of Automated Atomic Force Microscope (AAFM) systems with an integrated wafer handler including the accessories, and upgrades. All work will be done in a class 1 clean room environment. Both system types are typically assembled and tested to a specific customer order requiring verification of compliance to system specifications, accuracy of configuration, and timeliness of completion. This job includes trouble shooting and correcting of mechanical and electrical problems and requires skill in these areas. The individual collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and Software Engineering (SW) to improve product quality and processes. The job requires the individual to actively update testing requirements to ensure all potential qualities issues are addressed during final testing. The individual aids in determining root cause and implementing corrective actions related to In-Box-Quality (IBQ)/Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR). The position requires on the spot trouble shooting and repair to ensure orders are shipped on time. The position requires an ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Testing, calibration, and rework of WLI systems to ensure on-time completion of customer orders - 60%
2. Testing, calibration, and rework of AAFM Systems to ensure on-time completion of customer orders-30%
3. Quality improvement projects - 5%
4. Other product or process related projects - 5%

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include:
1. Participation on new product release teams
2. Conducting training on applicable test and calibration procedures
3. Initiating IBQ / NCMRs as necessary
4. Collaborating with assemblers and MEs to update and improve Manufacturing procedures
5. Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift ~50 lbs.
Work in a clean room environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Basic computer skills
2. Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills
3. Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

Qualifications

Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience in a manufacturing testing environment.

A B.S. in Engineering / Physics / Math OR 2+ years of experience with an AA in electro/mechanical field is preferred.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $54,121.00 and $71,500.00 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a number of job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, jobrelated knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
