Working independently, the People Solutions Manager leads functional and technical support for People systems, processes, and administration. The People Solutions Manager will identify and deliver process improvements and workflow efficiencies and will monitor people transactions for compliance and accuracy. This position will lead the People Solutions team to support an irresistible candidate, employee, and manager experience through the use and optimization of Workday and other People systems. Principle outcomes of this position include 1) an optimized experience and level of support for employees and managers using People systems, 2) continuous improvement of People systems and processes resulting in increased automation and streamlined administration, and 3) the creation and development of a knowledge and support center that will provide the 'ohana with frontline support for all People-related questions and issues. Reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards, the People Solutions Manager will interact with his or her supervisor as needed.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and manage the People Solutions Center - a knowledge center and centralized, tier-one employee resource for Workday, Workforce Manager, Optimized Scheduler, general absence inquiries like time off and leaves of absence, as well as information about benefits, compensation, onboarding, and other People-related inquiries or issues.
  • Serve as a primary partner with Data & Technology Services partners for the setup, administration, and maintenance of all People systems with a focus on Workday and Workforce Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce administrative inefficiencies through automation and process improvements that lead to reduced administrative burden on process participants.
  • Develop plans and monitor progress on systems and administrative projects that support the People strategy, ensuring strong cross-functional communication across stakeholders.
  • Facilitate business requirements conversations between functional leaders, the People Solutions team, and the Solutions Architect; ensure that the business needs are well represented while maintaining a focus on data/systems integrity and employee experience.
  • Periodically lead testing in partnership with the Solutions Architect for system implementations and updates to existing systems; coordinate resources, document issues, and follow up with resolution.
  • Develop super-user subject matter expertise and familiarity with back-end data and systems; understand and influence the flow of data between People systems and the King's Hawaiian data environment.
  • Design and maintain end-user and solution center documentation; partner with Learning in the creation of educational materials and content related to People systems.
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting capability utilizing varied and diverse data sources to support end-user requests and for use in continual audits to ensure data integrity; develop dashboards where possible through core HCM to enable user self-service.
  • Partner with vendors and DTS to build, test, and activate integrations, interfaces, and upgrades.
  • Continually evaluate existing People tools, processes, and documentation; make recommendations for enhancements or improvements in support of strategic initiatives or as triggered by changes in the business environment or available technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce administrative inefficiencies through automation and process improvement that frees People Operations to focus on strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with the People and DTS Leadership teams to develop a long-term strategic roadmap for People systems that support the full employee life cycle.
  • Provide functional and technical leadership for the People Solutions team.
  • Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with concentration in HR, Business, Accounting, or equivalent work experience required
  • At least 5 years in Human Resources or related field required with at least 2 years working in HRIS or HRIT preferred
  • At least 2 years of management experience required
  • Demonstrated background of progressive responsibility in HR with extensive knowledge of HR practices, principles and regulations required; experience in manufacturing environment preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient knowledge of HR practices and the implementation and/or management of HR systems
  • Proficient knowledge of HCM platforms such as Workday, PeopleSoft or similar; Workday experience preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an irresistible candidate and employee experience
  • Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization
  • Demonstrated capacity to directly and indirectly manage and lead teams, providing guidance, support, and ongoing development
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Ability to assertively solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist
  • Consistently demonstrates the qualities of a King's Hawaiian leader - the ability to activate and amplify aloha in every 'ohana member.

Compensation Range: $110,000 - $160,000
