Reporting to the Vice President, Research and Development, as Mechanical Engineer, you will serve as a key member of the Product Design team. You will work collaboratively with Industrial Design and proactively inform the design of concepts, prototypes and final products by applying Good Engineering Practices. The goal is to produce production-ready medical products that meet the functional, marketable and aesthetic intent of the design.

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Mechanical Engineer opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of2 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in product design
  • CAD skills including:
    • 2D CAD, Rhino is beneficial
    • 3D CAD,SolidWorks
  • Solid computer skills including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with written and verbal fluency in English
Initially, you will work remotely from your home office and occasionally come into the Irvine office, based on project need. Post-Covid, this will become a hybrid position with a mix of remote and in-office work.
