Make Your Mark Across 19 Facilities in a Critical New Role Developing Tailored Safety Programs
Step up your career in a growing company with an upbeat culture where employees are appreciated
If you have solid industrial safety knowledge, a knack for training and strong people skills, this critical new role offers you some great opportunities. You will:
Make an impact as you translate high-level policies into on-the-floor programs, tailored to the unique needs of 19 separate facilities.
Level up your career; while experience as a manager is preferred, this could be a chance for a strong safety coordinator to step up or work up to the manager level.
Take advantage of the best of both worlds: the energy and enthusiasm of a vibrant, growing company, along with the resources and opportunities of a global giant. We are a decentralized part of a global organization with more than 400 companies spread across 80+ countries.
Work in newly remodeled, state-of-the-art offices and travel to other facilities in the US.
Join a company that appreciates employees and rewards them with a strong, collaborative culture, competitive salaries, excellent training, comprehensive benefits and more.
You will report directly to the Director of Operations and have a dotted-line relationship with the Human Resources Manager. We have programs and policies in place, of course, but you will tailor them to the specific operations, equipment and materials of each facility. You'll interact with warehouse managers and supervisors to understand the needs and roll out new programs. We also have recent OSHA audits that you can use as guidelines. Responsibilities will include training, documentation, conducting audits and investigations, and ensuring the company is aligned with current regulations and best practices.
To be a good fit for the Safety Manager opportunity, you will have:
A BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field, or relevant training and certifications.
Proven experience in safety roles in industrial settings, preferably as a Safety Manager.
A track record of success in training others, ideally including training the trainer.
Experience developing and documenting safety policies and programs.
Strong people skills, including the ability to influence and motivate others.
