Reporting to the Senior Director, Transportation you will oversee the carriers of Weber Logistics in California and the Pacific Northwest. This will include monitoring carrier performance, tracking and tracing of freight, ensuring timely reporting of issues and ensuring flow of information from the carriers to Weber. You'll be responsible for meeting and exceeding established objectives within approved budgets while providing service in a safe, timely, accurate, low cost, high quality and productive manner to exceed customer expectations.

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Transportation Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Business or another related field (preferred, not required).
  • 3+ years of experience in the transportation, freight brokerage, or logistics field.
  • Excellent knowledge of TL and LTL carriers, and shipping regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a P&L.
  • Knowledge of transportation industry standards and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ramp and port operations.
  • Experience with TMS systems, preferably Mercury Gate.
