Role Summary and Purpose Reporting to the Director of Product & Test Engineering, as Senior Software Development Engineer, you will help develop core software critical to the development and testing of new products for customers in a variety of markets. You will work hand-in-hand with another senior engineer on new product development, developing software in parallel with hardware development, to support client needs. You'll begin working on projects as soon as the requirements for the new product are defined through to high-volume production viability. This is a role requiring a LabVIEW expert who can make an impact right off the bat. Essential Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Test Engineering, Product Engineering, and Applications Engineering teams to deploy applications and automation solutions to both internal and external customers
  • Leverage existing software to support new product development
  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve processes
  • Consult with peers and internal stakeholders for feedback during testing stages
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5-8+ years previous experience in test software development, for bench test characterization and/or ATE high volume production testing
  • Experience doing software development using National Instruments LabVIEW in the semiconductor field required
  • Experience with C/C++, C#
  • Experience automating test programs to control various bench equipment, i.e. SMUs, DMM, power supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes
  • Experience developing test programs with NI PXI test instruments, i.e. DAQs, Sig-Gens, power supplies, SMUs, Digital Cards
  • Experience providing technical guidance and educating team members and coworkers on software development best practices
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • Good organizational; the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities to meet goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a small team environment
  • The ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, as required, in a small, growing and dynamic environment
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience in high-volume production testing is preferred
  • Experience with NI ATE test executive, TestStand.
  • Experience with some of the following: Linux infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, .NET, Agile workflow methodologies
  • Experience with Pandas or JMP scripting or VBA
